The Corowa Free Press has a 140-year history of service to Corowa, Rutherglen and surrounds. Along with the Yarrawonga Chronicle, McPherson Media Group became co-owners of the Free Press in 2012.
As the only truly local source of news and sport, the Corowa Free Press continues to provide readers with an invaluable connection to their community. With print and online platforms, the Free Press reporters gather and curate what’s important to the community and give contributors an outlet to share stories, opinions and ideas.
The backbone of the area’s economy is secured by agri-food companies Rivalea Australia and Uncle Toby’s. It is also supported by the number of wineries that surround Rutherglen and Wahgunyah.
Corowa is located on the Murray River in NSW, and its main economic drivers are agriculture and tourism, which in turn are supported by the town’s retail businesses.
